The table on the right shows the leagues and the forecast type (Homes, Draws, Aways) that have shown a positive return on investment of at least 110% on at least 10 value football bets over the past four months of betting.

The Bets column indicates how many 'value' football bets have been placed on forecasts for the particular result in the particular league division. The Hits column indicates how many of the forecasts turned out to be winning bets. The S/R column is the Strike Rate, indicating the hits to bets ratio as a percentage. The Rets column indicates typically how many returns to unit stakes you would have received if you had followed all the football bet forecasts, and the RoI column indicates the Return on Investment you would have made.

Although you are welcome to place your football bet on any forecast produced we find that the bets which have sufficient data available (the qualifiers), and also ones where the bookmakers are offering prices greater than our recommendations (the value bets) are the only ones considered to maximise your football bet returns.

How It Works

We use a Naive Bayes classifier to classify each potential game as a football bet opportunity to be a home win, away win, or draw. The Naive Bayes classifier is a relatively simple artificial intelligence technique to implement and has so far demonstrated excellent returns for football bet forecasting. In order to maximise your profit we suggest that you follow a few simple steps:
  • Only place football bets in league divisions that have demonstrated a substantial positive return over the past four months. Usually this is the value bets. The profitable league divisions are shown in the table above.
  • Although draws appear to be profitable the returns can be quite volatile, therefore we recommend that only homes or aways are selected.
  • Some football bet forecasts have a NO BET recommendation. This is the case if only limited information is available, probably due to the fact that one or both of the teams involved hasn't played in the league division for sufficient time, so we wouldn't back this football bet with hard cash.
